Chakras & Energy Healing – how does it work?

Chakras & Energy Healing - how does it work?

Most believe that our physical body is created, then it becomes a space where the spirit enters. When, in most spiritual approaches, it is exactly the opposite. Two people come together, their energies combine, and that energy inside the womb creates a physical body. Our energetic field is bigger than just our physical being, it has no edges, it just becomes more ‘diluted’ as it moves further away from the centre of our bodies. Until it blends seamlessly into those around us.

Think of it this way… we are all just one big energy field that becomes concentrated in different areas to form a ‘separate’ person. ‘Separate’ being an inaccurate term, as we are all part of this giant energetic field and only have the illusion of separation.

This is what is meant when spiritualists say we are all one. What you do to yourself or to another, affects the whole.

But individual concentrations carry around and control our physical bodies like puppets, and it’s very exhausting to keep carrying around this heavy puppet. This is why we sleep, so some energy can repair the puppet and other parts of us fly off to dreamland for weightless adventures.

Well, we give our energetic field the support it needs to carry these puppets. Whatever you physically do with your body will directly influence the energetic body, and vice versa.

In the centre of our own energetic fields, are a tight network of energy patterns and channels, all vibrating at different levels to create physical matter. That means if you want good physical matter (your carcass), you want your vibrations to be vibrating optimally.

And this is important, negativity has negative low vibrations, positivity has higher positive vibrations, so whether you are negative or positive, it will affect you on a cellular level.

The lower the vibration the less healthy the cells work.

From the crown of the head to the tip of our tailbone is the centre of our energetic being and it is where seven of the most influential energy centres are located. These centres (chakras) feed information to our physical and energetic beings. Holistic healing is about those chakras functioning well and effectively communicating the right messages to heal and prevent disease and imbalance in the physical body. We also have other smaller chakras through our energetic fields, but these are less influential.

Chakras on the central line of the body each influence emotional and physical responses depending on their location.

Chakra root

The Root Chakra; Located at the top of the tailbone

Is the place where we build our foundations, whatever grounds us and offers us stability in our lives. It is the root of our being, the place in which we establish the deepest connections with the physical body and with the Earth.

It consists of what we want ourselves to be throughout life, our beliefs, and what we stand for. It also includes basic needs such as food, water, shelter, and safety, plus our fight or flight response. When these basic requirements are balanced, we tend to be less worried and fearful. Whereas if this chakra is unbalanced it may manifest into problems with the hips, knees and feet

The Root chakra

Energetic healing isn’t just limited to chakras, it also considers the energy dispersal channels which are sometimes called nadis or in Chinese medicine, meridians. We have major centres (chakras), very busy dispersal channels (meridians), and then smaller centres and smaller energy channels.

Think of it this way: with chakras as cities, towns, villages, hamlets.
Then meridians as motorways, B-roads, country lanes, dirt tracks.

If the smaller villages/hamlets, with their small lanes, have an issue, there are disruptions in daily life, but they are small and localised, very manageable. Like if you cut your finger very slightly, it is very unlikely to affect how the rest of the body functions.

If towns aren’t communicating information via transportation on the motorways or B-roads, there will be distinct disruption but some functionality. As a matter of fact, a broken leg would make things difficult but not impossible.

But if cities aren’t balanced and communicating information via transportation on the motorways, and the motorways are blocked, the whole country can come to a standstill. So, major ongoing imbalances with the spine will affect every part, every function of your body.

In conclusion: we want the cities (chakras) to be happy and the motorways (meridians) to be fluid because the towns and villages (less influential chakras) will have the right support to then take care of themselves.

When we create a personalised package we use chakras & energy Healing to create a package that will help you to an optimum level of physical and spiritual health.

When we work with the hips we can activate and balance the root chakra

Our hips help us to bend, balance and stabilise our physical body, The root chakra is all about balance and stabilisation of the spiritual body, it makes good sense that yoga that works with the hips will bring the physical and spiritual body in to harmony.

If you have poor hip mobility, the body tends to compensates by employing our back for the task instead! And as we have discussed, good spinal health is essential to achieve energy healing. When we increase our hip movement capability we also improve the flow of the blood to the legs, reduce the strain on the back and balance the hole body. The more flexibility and mobility we can maintain in our legs then the more we reduce hip related problems as we age.
